Who we are
Grandstone Group LLC (“Grandstone Group,” “we”) is a home improvement contractor in New York City. This policy explains what information this website collects and how we use it. Our contact details are at the end.
What we collect
- Information you give us: your name, phone number, email address, project address or neighborhood, project description, any photos you choose to send, your preferred contact method, and appointment details.
- Basic technical information that web servers record for any visit, such as IP address, browser type, and the page that referred you.
- Campaign details in the web address (such as utm_source) if you arrived from an ad or an email.
How we use it
- To respond to you and schedule consultations.
- To prepare estimates, proposals and contracts.
- To keep the business records New York City requires home improvement contractors to keep, generally for six years.
- To keep this website working and secure.
Who we share it with
- Service providers that host this website and run our phone, text and email services, only so they can provide those services to us. We use the scheduling services described below. If we add customer-management tools, we’ll update this policy first.
- Licensed trades or subcontractors working on your project, only as needed for that work.
- Government authorities, when the law requires it.
We do not sell your personal information. We do not share mobile phone numbers or text-message consent with third parties for their marketing.
Scheduling services
When you request a consultation through our online scheduling pages, the request is handled by Cal.com, a scheduling service. Cal.com receives what you enter there, such as your name, email address, phone number, the time you request and any notes, and uses it to manage the request for us. Cal.com’s privacy policy also applies to those pages.
When we confirm a consultation, it is added to Grandstone Group’s Google Calendar, which is connected to Cal.com, so we can keep our schedule. The calendar entry can include your name, contact details, the consultation time and your notes. Google’s privacy policy applies to Google Calendar.
We use this information to arrange and hold your consultation and to follow up about your project. We do not sell it.
Text messages
If you check the box to receive texts, we’ll text you about your request or project. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to stop, or HELP for help. Agreeing to texts is not a condition of any purchase.
Photos you send
We use project photos to understand your project. We won’t publish them, or photos we take at your home, without your written permission.
Cookies and browser storage
This site doesn’t use advertising cookies or third-party tracking, and its fonts are served from our own site. If you arrive from a campaign link, the campaign details are kept in your browser for that visit only and aren’t sent anywhere. If we add analytics in the future, we’ll update this policy first.
How long we keep information
We keep project records, including contracts, for at least six years, as New York City rules require. Inquiries that don’t become projects are deleted once they’re no longer needed.
Your choices
You can ask what information we have about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it, subject to the records we’re legally required to keep.
Security
We use reasonable safeguards for the information we hold. No method of sending or storing information is completely secure.
Children
This site is intended for adults and is not directed to children under 13.
Changes
If this policy changes, we’ll post the new version here with a new date.
